I’m Kathleen, the creative spark behind Wild Beauty Studio here in beautiful Victoria, B.C. My vision for this space is simple: to create a haven where creativity and connection can flourish—a place to recharge, heal, and find moments of joy no matter what life brings.

At the studio, you’ll find a variety of inspiring workshops in small, welcoming groups. It’s your chance to create, connect, and unwind in a relaxed, supportive environment. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, you’ll leave feeling proud of what you’ve made and inspired to keep creating.

Each workshop is carefully curated with love and intention, designed to guide you through the process of creating something beautiful and uniquely yours.

And of course—there’s always baking! I love sharing favorite recipes and trying out new ones, because creativity flows best when it’s paired with good food and warm conversation.

The Studio

Our studio is designed to make you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door. Every detail—from the calming music to the carefully curated supplies—has been chosen to create a welcoming, inspiring environment.

Workshops are intentionally small, with just 4–6 participants. This ensures you have plenty of space to create, connect with others, and fully explore your creativity. And don’t worry—everything you need is provided, so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience.

'Happy Potter'

The Art of  Handbuilding  

Unleash your creativity and discover the joy of working with clay in this beginner-friendly pottery workshop! You’ll create three beautiful and functional ceramic pieces—such as bowls, plates, or trays—while learning step-by-step how to mold and shape clay into unique forms.

No experience? No problem! This nurturing and supportive workshop is perfect for beginners. You’ll feel at ease as you explore different hand-building techniques, experiment with surface decoration, and bring your own creative vision to life.

With only 4 participants, you’ll receive plenty of personalized attention to help you grow your skills. All materials and tools will be provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm!

After your pieces are bisque-fired, you’ll return to glaze them with a range of beautiful colour options. Your handcrafted pottery will be ready for pick-up within two weeks, giving you three stunning keepsakes to treasure or gift.

'Mug Life, Part 2'  Workshop

We’ve added two brand-new mug shapes to this season’s workshop series — Now giving you four unique shapes to choose from! You will get to pick any two and hand-build your own stunning mugs in this fun and engaging class.

Using slab-building techniques, you’ll learn how to slip, score, shape, and decorate your mugs, making them truly one-of-a-kind. You’ll also have the chance to experiment with hand-building methods and surface decorations to reflect your own style.

With only four participants per session, you’ll enjoy plenty of one-on-one guidance in a relaxed, supportive setting. All materials and tools are provided — just bring your creativity!

After your mugs are bisque fired, you’ll return to glaze them in your choice of beautiful colors. Your finished mugs will be ready for pickup in just a few weeks — perfect for sipping your favorite cozy beverage this Fall.

'Patchwork Bowl' Workshop

Create a One-of-a-Kind Patchwork Bowl

Discover the joy of crafting a stunning and functional ceramic bowl with your own hands! In this workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step to create a unique patchwork bowl — a centerpiece that’s both beautiful and practical. Your finished bowl will measure approximately 10” in diameter.

While some basic pottery experience is recommended, this workshop will help you refine your skills with techniques like slipping, scoring, and experimenting with a broader range of glazing options.

With a group size limited to just 4 participants, you’ll receive plenty of personalized guidance. All materials and tools will be provided, so you can focus on bringing your vision to life.

After your piece is bisque-fired, you’ll return for a more in-depth glazing session with an exciting variety of colour choices. This 3-hour session is approachable yet technical, ensuring your bowl looks amazing. Your finished piece will be ready for pick-up in just two weeks.

'Mug Life - Soup Edition' Workshop

Cozy up this season with our hand-building soup mug workshop! In this relaxing, small-class setting, you’ll create two unique soup mugs entirely by hand, learning a NEW slab-building technique and exploring decorating methods that make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.

With only four participants, you’ll enjoy plenty of one-on-one guidance in a calm and supportive atmosphere. All tools and materials are provided — just bring your creativity! 

After your mugs are bisque fired, you’ll return to glaze them in your choice of beautiful colors, leaving with mugs perfect for sipping your favorite Fall soups and beverages.

'Pitcher Perfect' Workshop

Join us for a creative and inspiring pottery workshop where you will hand-build a beautiful pitcher + two cups!  Whether it's filled with crisp apple cider, spiced punch or a mix of vibrant leaves and flowers,  this pitcher is both functional and beautiful. A simple way to welcome Cozy Fall days.

This workshop is designed for those with some pottery experience, as we’ll build on your existing knowledge. You’ll delve deeper into working with templates, slipping, scoring and learning to make a spout, while exploring a variety of hand-building techniques and unique surface decoration to make your pieces truly one of a kind.

With a small group of just 4 participants, you’ll enjoy plenty of one-on-one guidance to bring your vision to life. All materials and tools are provided, so all you need to bring is your creativity!

After your pieces are bisque-fired, you’ll return to glaze them with a selection of beautiful colours and will be ready for pick-up in just a few weeks—a perfect keepsake or gift!

'Plateful of Autumn' Workshop

Celebrate the season by creating four beautiful, 10-inch hand-built plates in this intimate, Fall-inspired workshop. Using slab-building techniques, you’ll shape each plate and add rustic glazes, textures, and words or phrases that inspire you, making each piece uniquely yours.

Perfect for your dinner table, these plates bring warmth and charm to everyday meals or special gatherings. Serve your favorite Autumn dishes on handcrafted plates that are both functional and beautifully seasonal.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of pottery. With only four participants per class, you’ll enjoy plenty of one-on-one guidance in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.

After your plates are bisque fired, you’ll return to glaze them in rich, rustic Fall colors, leaving with pieces that capture the essence of Autumn and add a cozy, personal touch to your home.

'Home for the Holidays' Workshop

Get into the Fall spirit by creating two hand-built tea-light houses! Choose from four unique templates and craft two one-of-a-kind houses that reflect your personal style.

This workshop is designed for those with some pottery experience, but if you have patience and a love for creating, you’ll do great! Each house is a chance to add your own creative touches, making them perfect for your home or as special gifts for someone you love.

With plenty of guidance, you’ll learn slab-building techniques, shaping, and decorating methods. After construction, your houses will be bisque fired and ready for you to glaze in seasonal colors, adding warmth and charm to the season.

'Whimsical Christmas' Workshop

Get into the holiday spirit by creating 12 unique Christmas decorations, with a focus on whimsical trees! Each decoration will be one-of-a-kind, crafted by you, making them truly special keepsakes.

They will be ready to hang when you pick them up!

'Time to Nest' Workshop

In this workshop, you’ll learn new techniques to shape and form your bowls, then make them truly one-of-a-kind with words and decorations that inspire you. We’ll place a special focus on glaze combinations so that each bowl reflects your personal style while still working together as a set.

With only four participants, you’ll enjoy plenty of one-on-one support in a warm and relaxed studio setting. After your bowls are bisque fired, you’ll return to glaze them in stunning colors that bring out their unique textures and designs.

By the end, you’ll have a set of nesting bowls that are as beautiful as they are practical—perfect for sharing food and memories around the table.
