Hi there!

I’m Kathleen, the creative spark behind Wild Beauty Studio here in beautiful Victoria, B.C. My vision for this space is simple: to create a haven where creativity and connection can flourish—a place to recharge, heal, and find moments of joy no matter what life brings.

At the studio, you’ll find a variety of inspiring workshops in small, welcoming groups. It’s your chance to create, connect, and unwind in a relaxed, supportive environment. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting out, you’ll leave feeling proud of what you’ve made and inspired to keep creating.

Each workshop is carefully curated with love and intention, designed to guide you through the process of creating something beautiful and uniquely yours.

And of course—there’s always baking! I love sharing favorite recipes and trying out new ones, because creativity flows best when it’s paired with good food and warm conversation.

So come join us at the studio—the mulled cider will be ready, and we can’t wait to welcome you into this cozy, creative space.

The Studio

Our studio is designed to make you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door. Every detail—from the calming music to the carefully curated supplies—has been chosen to create a welcoming, inspiring environment.

Workshops are intentionally small, with just 4–6 participants. This ensures you have plenty of space to create, connect with others, and fully explore your creativity. And don’t worry—everything you need is provided, so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience.

Fall/Winter 2026

'Happy Potter 2.0' Workshop

The Art of  Handbuilding  

Unleash your creativity and discover the joy of working with clay in this beginner-friendly pottery workshop! You’ll create three beautiful and functional ceramic pieces—such as bowls, plates, or trays—while learning step-by-step how to mold and shape clay into unique forms. 

This nurturing and supportive workshop is perfect for beginners. You’ll feel at ease as you explore different hand-building techniques, experiment with surface decoration, and bring your own creative vision to life.

With only 4 participants, you’ll receive plenty of personalized attention to help you grow your skills. All materials and tools will be provided, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm!

After your pieces are bisque-fired, you’ll return to glaze them with a range of beautiful colour options. Your handcrafted pottery will be ready for pick-up within two weeks, giving you three stunning keepsakes to treasure or gift.

'Mug Life, Part 2'  Workshop

With three unique shapes to choose from, you’ll pick your favorite two and hand-build your own beautiful mugs in this fun and engaging class.

Using slab-building techniques, I’ll guide you through the process of slipping, scoring, shaping, and decorating your mugs so they become truly one-of-a-kind pieces. You’ll have the chance to explore different hand-building methods and add surface details that reflect your own personal style.

With just 6 participants per session, the class stays small and relaxed, allowing plenty of time for one-on-one guidance and space to create at your own pace. All materials and tools are provided — just bring your creativity.

Once your mugs have been bisque fired, you’ll return to the studio to glaze them in your choice of beautiful colors. A few weeks later, your finished mugs will be ready to take home and enjoy — perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea, or whatever cozy moment you choose to fill them with.

Clay & Glow: Pottery + Candle Workshop

In this NEW workshop you will be exploring a brand-new vessel form in this hands-on workshop! You’ll slab-build three vessels, with room to personalize each one so they reflect your own style. After your session, your vessels will be professionally glazed by me, choosing from four curated glaze combinations, ensuring each piece is uniquely yours.

A few weeks later, return to learn the art of candle-making in collaboration with a guest artist. You’ll craft candles using soy and beeswax, cedar wicks, and all-natural essential oils, perfectly complementing your pottery. We have added some NEW Fall Scents!

This two-part experience blends clay, color, and scent, resulting in a set you’ll cherish for yourself or gift to someone special!

'Pitcher Perfect' Workshop

Join us for a creative and inspiring pottery workshop where you will hand-build a beautiful pitcher + two cups!  Whether it's filled with juice, sangria or a mix of vibrant leaves and flowers,  this pitcher is both functional and beautiful. 

This workshop is designed for those with some pottery experience, as we’ll build on your existing knowledge. You’ll delve deeper into working with templates, slipping, scoring and learning to make a spout, while exploring a variety of hand-building techniques and unique surface decoration to make your pieces truly one of a kind.

With a small group of just 6 participants, you’ll enjoy plenty of one-on-one guidance to bring your vision to life. All materials and tools are provided, so all you need to bring is your creativity!

After your pieces are bisque-fired, you’ll return to glaze them with a selection of beautiful colours and will be ready for pick-up in just a couple weeks—a perfect keepsake or gift!

'Home for the Holidays'  Workshop

It’s back! One of my favourite workshops from last fall is returning, and this year we’re adding two brand new houses to the collection. 

You’ll create two charming hand-built tea light houses, choosing from our four unique designs and adding your own little touches along the way. Each one is completely unique and will bring the coziest glow to your home throughout the fall and holiday season.

This workshop is best suited for those with some pottery experience, but if you have patience and love to create, you’ll do great! I’ll guide you through the slab-building, shaping and decorating techniques along the way.

And I have a feeling you may just need all four! ✨

Birdsong Basin Workshop

Last one of 2026! In this workshop you’ll slab-build a 15-inch birdbath, learning the art of shaping and designing a piece that’s truly your own. You’ll also be introduced to sculpting, adding charming details like birds, flowers, or leaves to make your birdbath whimsical and unique.  Tons of room to be creative!

When you return to glaze your birdbath, you will love bringing all the details to life with colour!

This one-of-a-kind handmade piece can be placed on any base you choose, making it a perfect addition to your backyard. It’s sure to bring joy and beauty to your garden for years to come.

With just 4 participants, the class is hands-on, giving you plenty of guidance and space to make your creation uniquely yours.

'Made to Gather'  Workshop

Let’s make something beautiful for all those fall gatherings ahead. 

In this workshop, you’ll hand build your own chip and dip dish, a gorgeous piece that’s perfect for entertaining, sharing and setting out with all your favourite snacks.

This one is a little more involved than some of our workshops, but if you’ve done a Mug Workshop, you’ve got this! I’ll walk you through each step, and you’ll have lots of room to make it completely your own.

And here’s the fun part… flip it over and it becomes a beautiful cake stand! Two ways to use it, one beautiful handmade piece.

A little clay, a little creativity and something you’ll love bringing out when you’re gathering around the table.

Wildly Crinkled Vase Workshop

Let’s get a little wild with our clay! 

In this fun and playful workshop, you’ll create two vases, one large and one medium, starting with a simple vessel and then letting your creativity take over.

This is where things get fun! You’ll crinkle, pinch, shape and play with the clay, transforming your vases into beautifully imperfect, one-of-a-kind forms. No two will ever be the same, and that’s exactly the point.

Once finished, these unique little vessels will be perfect for fall flowers, your favourite stems, or giving as a handmade gift.

Come ready to play, get a little messy and see where your creativity takes you. There really is no wrong way to make them.

'Soup, Glorious Soup' Workshop

There’s something about the cooler weather that makes a cozy bowl of soup just that much better. So this is the perfect time to make your own soup mugs to enjoy it in. 

In this relaxed little class, you’ll hand build two soup mugs using a fun slab building technique, adding your own texture and details to make them completely one of a kind.

Only 6 spots in each class, so it’s small, relaxed and lots of fun. All the tools and materials are provided, and you’ll come back to glaze your mugs once they’ve been bisque fired.

A couple of weeks later, they’ll be ready to come home and be filled with your favourite soup, coffee or tea. Cozy season, here we come.
